I’m tired and anxious
I hear an ominous whimper
I want to go back to my years when I thought life was simpler.
I had a nightmare last night
so i don’t want to go to sleep.

Tomorrow morning I leave for the first day of senior year but
Can’t I just hang beautifully and tragically from a diamond chandelier?
